Rapid training event – Be prepared to help!
St. John’s is supporting recovery efforts from the fires, and YOU are invited to help minister and care. Get prepared by attending this this 2-hour training event. Learn what to say, what not to say, and how to help hurting people around you.

Spiritual First Aid™ Rapid Training
An accelerated overview of the Wheaton College Humanitarian Disaster Institute's Spiritual First Aid course. SFA Rapid Training equips individuals to respond and serve those who have experienced a crisis with a caring, listening, and empathetic presence. It helps participants discern sources of trauma and offer frontline emotional care. SFA is grounded in biblical principles and backed by evidenced-based psychological testing.
This incredibly effective material will help each of us:
- Understand better what to say and how to help hurting people in our community
- Learn research-backed skills and field-tested tools for practical support
- Feel more confident in the care each of us gives our neighbors
