Provides assistance to teachers and students as assigned by the school principal. Supervises students at lunch and lunch recess. Exemplifies the Christian philosophy of the St. John's Lutheran Church mission statement in all aspects of day-to-day duties and responsibilities. 

FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
SCHEDULE: PART-TIME – SCHEDULE TO BE DETERMINED BY SUPERVISOR
DEPARTMENT: SCHOOL
PAY RANGE: $16.50-$18.00/hr

POSITION ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates values and attributes in connection with the faith being taught, including but not limited to, unconditional love for all people, industrious, being consistent in prayer.
  • Provides a Christian example to students and their families.
  • Assists teachers in positively motivating students.
  • When supervising students, encourages adherence to rules for play and lunch clean up.
  • Ensures that rules for students are applied consistently.
  • Reports problems with students to the appropriate teacher or administrator.
