Bach Afternoon Cantata Series #1:

Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring: Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben 
(Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life) BWV 147

The Bach cantatas return this year as afternoon services/concerts. Our first of two, "Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life", includes Bach's most famous piece: 
"Jesus, Joy of Man's Desiring". Part 1 draws on the story of Mary visiting Elizabeth and the wonderful news of the Christ-child who would be born. 

Cathedral Singers, Soloists,  Chamber Orchestra of woodwinds and strings completes the joyful picture.
